Overview

RateWatt ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

What We Collect

Analytics (Cookie-Free)

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not track users across sites, and does not collect personal information. We collect:

  • Page views and visit counts (aggregated, not per-user)
  • Referrer URLs
  • Browser and device type (aggregated)
  • Country of origin (from IP, not stored)

No Personal Data

RateWatt does not collect, store, or process any personally identifiable information. We have no user accounts, no forms collecting personal data, and no cookies.

Third-Party Services

Our site is hosted on Cloudflare, which may collect standard server logs. Please refer to their privacy policy for details.

Data Sources

All energy data displayed on RateWatt comes from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), a public government data source. This is publicly available data, not user-generated content.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there is nothing to access, modify, or delete. If you have any questions, contact us at privacy@ratewatt.com.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
